There are several tell-tale indications that something is not working quite as it should within your boiler, and that it might be time to call out an engineer. Often, a clear indication of a problem starts with the flame. If your boiler’s flame is not a clear blue, and is presenting as any other colour, perhaps yellow or orange, you need to ring your Copper Gas Safe engineer to come and take a look.
Another obvious indication of a problem would be if your boiler stops doing its job, to make heat and hot water, or if you can hear your boiler making strange noises. Alternatively, if the pressure begins to rise and drop suddenly or if your boiler appears to be using more gas than usual; these are all classic signs that something is not working as it should do in your boiler system. In the event that you experience any of these problems, contact your Copper Gas Safe engineer as soon as possible.
