Radiators work through a process called convection; which simply means when the water in the radiator is heated, the surface of the radiator (usually made from metal) heats, and so does the surrounding air, making your home feel warm.
Did you know that radiators are connected in a chain, that begins, and ends, at your boiler? That being said, the radiator nearest to your boiler receives the hottest water, whilst the radiator furthest away in the chain, will be set to receive the coolest water; therefore, the system needs to be balanced, to ensure all radiators give out a consistent level of heat. The balancing process is achieved through the use of radiator valves, a simple and easy component, fitted to each radiator, that restricting or opening the water flow around the circuit.
